About The Child Life BCBA
Hi, I’m Allison! I'm a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) passionate about supporting children through evidence-based, developmentally informed care. My background bridges the fields of behavior science, child development, and psychosocial care. I hold dual master's degrees in Child Life and Applied Behavior Analysis and have experience supporting children and families across medical, educational, home, and community settings.
As both a BCBA and CCLS, I believe children learn best through connection, play, safety, and meaningful relationships. My approach combines evidence-based behavioral strategies with a strong foundation in child development, play, emotional support, and neurodiversity-affirming care. This perspective has shaped my belief that the most meaningful support often comes through collaboration across disciplines, bringing together the expertise of behavior analysts, child life specialists, mental health professionals, music therapists, educators, and families.
Through The Child Life BCBA, my goal is to provide resources, education, and support that help professionals and caregivers better understand the “why” behind behavior while honoring the whole child. My hope is to promote greater collaboration between helping professions and contribute to a future where children and families have access to comprehensive, family-centered care that supports not only skill development, but also coping, emotional well-being, and quality of life
